Skate with the Jackets!

After UW-Superior's win last night the men and women came out and skated with the kids. Sydney was pretty excited to see Buzz the YellowJacket too! She was pretty determined to get out there and skate with the big kids. This was quite a surprise since every time we put skates on her and go to outdoor rink.. she refused to do anything but crawl up a snowbank! Sydney went around the rink a few times..then when Dad left her to go chase Tyler, some of the lady Jackets took her around for a lap. OH the giggles! Both kids did a great job skating. Now we can't wait for the outdoor ice to be finished.

Before leaving we caught one of Uncle Evan's old hockey buds for a photo. It totally reminded me of a photo I took 13 years ago when Evan and Libby skated with the Jackets!!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!!

We woke up to a fresh layer of snow.. covering a whole lot of water! The front sidewalks were pretty slushy. There was some time to spare after shoveling before walking to school so we thought we'd tackle a little snowman. Of course the first part is easy..but adding the other balls..was a trick.. sadly the first one fell over! But eventually we got it. Sydney loves to color the faces on with chalk!

So much to be thankful for!!

Days go by so quickly lately. It's kinda sad that with all the hustle and bustle we really take one day to be thankfull for what we have in our lives. I silently thank god everyday for so many little things. Not just my amazing family and friends who stand by through the thick and thin, supports, watches kids, and laughs. Sometimes that laughter is priceless! I'm greatfull for a healthy, happy family...who's giggles and grins make everyday special. Here's this year's Thanksgiving celebration!
