Merry Christmas

From our house to yours! Happy Holidays!!

I'm excited for the snow!! But with all the holiday excitement, my heart goes out to other families who have lost a loved one this year or during this holiday season. I hope everyone takes a moment from the chaos of wrapping paper, cookies and food to remember what's really the important part of this holiday. We spend weeks...even months preparing and shopping and it flies by so quickly.
Hugs!!

Christmas Program

Noah's Ark Daycare had its annual Christmas Program Monday night. It's always so fun to watch the little ones walk down the aisle dressed up. This year was a little different version. A little girl is reading a story from the bible. And yes that little girl is Sydney. She takes a visit to Bibleland and this is the scene she saw.
Sydney opened the bible on cue..without practicing!
The Friendly Beasts
The angels on high! Maddie (in the middle) is one of Sydney's best buds. They've been in daycare together since they were crawling! Maddie motioned to Sydney to step down and stand by the angels. Sydney did..while watching Cathy reading the entire time. Then she tip-toed back up before she could see.
Mary and Joseph. Caleb sat up there so nice. I was afraid he'd see Tyler sitting in the 2nd row and yell something.. But he didn't! Wheew!
Sydney was great about letting me try to curl her hair so she'd fit the part of the "little girl" A stretch for this one at times I think! There's always a moment in the program that brings a tear to my eye. I'm so thankful for my children and the wonderful friends and family in our lives who make an effort to come and watch!

Family Fun

Sydney's latest little trend is to wear dresses to daycare..and everywhere! Thanks to our neighbor Ellen. The girls love dressing up! From jammie dresses to princesses... they never go home in their own clothes!
May the Force be with You!
Mini Vader ready for battle

Tyler built the cutest little robot out of the bristle blocks.

Typical Sassy Sydney- What a face!
She has got ATTITUDE!

Dance Lessons!~These little ladies are so much fun to watch. It's quite the challenge to get 3 years to follow..but add some jumps and wiggles and you are good to go!

It's hard to believe that the holidays are fast approaching.. Thanksgiving dinner to be planned and Black Friday shopping lists to be made. Take time today just for a moment to enjoy the little things as days go by so quickly... whether it's peace and quiet.. or a belly giggle from 2 kids who don't want to go to bed.

Trick or Treat

I promise I am going to start sharing some scrapbook layouts and cards.. But I really haven't had much time to get anything done! I had to share our fun night out! It was a bit chilly but not too bad! The kids (and adults) had a blast!

Here's our Mario Kart group... Toad (me), Diddy Kong (Mason), Princess Peach (Sydney), Brick (Leesa), Mario (Tyler), the mummy (Zak), Super Mario (Chad), Luigi (Brandon) and the final Lap guy (Bree). I know the mummy really isn't Mario Brothers..but there was no arguing with him! LOL!
Princess Peach is ready to race with Belle!! Ellen was so sweet looking!
Tyler didn't like his mustache, he thought it smelled funny..so we used makeup to draw one on... He had a blast zipping around the yard in his Mario car for a bit. ... probably the last spin of the season...as there will be snow on the ground soon!
Super Mario!
Mom was wonderful and passed out candy at our house. By 7 o'clock our kids were pretty tired and had quite the full buckets so we came home. They had fun passing out candy for another half hour. Now they are zoning on the couch watching Nick Jr..ready to crash!
Hope everyone else had a fun and safe Halloween! We're looking forward to tomorrow's border battle... Packer Vs Viking football game and Ellen's birthday party.
Enjoy the extra hour of sleep!

Pumpkin Carving- "Isgusting"

Last weekend we went to Nordic Ridge Pumpkin Patch in Bovey, MN. It was a gorgeous day! I'm so greatful we went considering the miserable wet weather we are having this weekend. The kids enjoyed showing Gramma the animals in the petting zoo, and the Huge Barn slide. We even went through part of the corn maze until Sydney announced she had to go potty. Figures!
Last night we thought we'd carve the pumpkins we'd picked out.

Tyler and Sydney were not impressed once Chad got the tops off the pumpkins and told them to scoop out the seeds and all. YUCK!! Sydney just kept proclaiming "THIS is Isgusting!". I was almost waiting for Tyler to start gagging..thankfully he didnt'.I helped clean out the insides so Chad could do the carving. Here's Chad's pumpkin.
